Why BrickVPN
Encrypted is good. Inconspicuous is better.
Common VPN protocols such as WireGuard are fast and secure. Their handshake, however, follows a fixed pattern that providers can easily spot with deep packet inspection (DPI). That is exactly where blocking kicks in: the connection comes up, and a few seconds later nothing gets through.
BrickVPN uses AmneziaWG 3.1 for this, an evolution of WireGuard with the same encryption, and XRay VLESS Reality. With AmneziaWG, random junk packets go out before the handshake and packet headers and sizes are changed. VLESS Reality additionally disguises the traffic as ordinary HTTPS. To a filter, both look much less like a typical VPN.

From your device to the website in three steps
An encrypted tunnel sits between you and the internet. Anyone watching the network only sees disguised traffic to our server.

The app encrypts everything before it leaves your device and disguises the traffic against DPI filters. Your provider sees neither sites nor content.
Our server
The server at your chosen location decrypts the request and sends it on with its own IP address.
The internet
Websites and services see the server’s address, not yours. The reply travels back the same way through the tunnel.
Privacy
What we don’t know, nobody can find out

Our servers have a 1 Gbit/s uplink, and bandwidth is shared with other customers. Your speed also depends on your own connection and the distance to the server.

No. Visited sites and searches are not stored. The handshake time is the last moment this device’s key spoke to the server. If that was less than three minutes ago, the device counts as connected. Only that one timestamp is stored, and it is overwritten each time. There is no list of earlier connections. Only an admin sees the monthly volume. There is no volume limit.
No. You can sign up with just a random 16-digit account number. Keep it safe: without an email we can’t recover it. You can add an email address later.
